Welcome to the personal web site of Paul Beaulieu. I’m a dad, husband and Managing Consultant at IBM Interactive living in the Boston Metro area.
I occasionally write about or share things that interest me here. The site is a labor of love and not quite a hobby. I sometimes tinker and break things. So if something is not working, then that’s probably the reason. Eventually things usually get fixed after a while, or if not, they get reverted back to their previous state.
If you want to reach me, I can be emailed at paul at 2 aldgate dot net.
This about page has been sitting blank for quite a while now. I have been having trouble deciding what to write here without sounding pretentious.
That said, here are some bits and pieces.
The name of the site comes from the address of the house where I grew up. I created the site in July of 2000 and the first blog entry (below) was created on December 10th of that year.
So this tool was highlighted in the latest issue of Wired Magazine and it looked pretty cool. Don’t know what I will use it for yet…probably just rants…but hey, what was else was the web made for…
The original tag line of this site was “Random Plots to Conquer the World / Various Projects of Little Importance.” As time has gone on and as I have gotten older, my ambitions of world domination have receded like my hairline.
There are plenty of other bits and pieces of me on the web. Some of these are listed below.
- My professional profile can be found here.
- My Google+ profile can be found here.
- Some of my photos can be found here.
- My shared bookmarks can be found here.
- My Last.fm Music Profile can be found here.
I also use the WP-Lifestream plugin to log some of my current activity across the web. If you are interested in my activity elsewhere, you can find a stream here.
The site is currently powererd by WordPress. In addition, I use Shaun Inman’s very cool Mint application for tracking site visits and other statistics.
